Pretty lack luster. It only got famous when Don Johnson hit it big with Miami Vice.
Having seen the movie, I can see why it never got nominated for an Oscar. The story was lame, the sets and costuming were marginally better than the acting. To be honest, I am surprised it was done as late as 1975; it looked like it was made in the late 60's.

The story by Harlan Ellison was critically acclaimed but I don't think the film version measured up.

I say mixed because it's out there but Don Johnson was good in it.
