"As we review what we get from ... collecting our taxes and reducing waste, fraud and abuse, investing in education and in initiatives which will bring money into the treasury, it may be that tax cuts for those making over a certain amount of money, $500,000 a year, might be more important to the American people than ignoring the educational and health needs of America's children," Pelosi, D-Calif., said in an interview aired Sunday.

She is an economic idiot and self-motivated traitor for the good of her own wealth. You can't lower taxes when a country is operating on a deficit in the double digit Trillions! Not to mention that our importing far exceeds our exports and the country is creating economic disaster for the very near future. How do you think China has become so wealthy? They export everything, while practically importing nothing! The United States has failed miserably in this area of business. It is going to cost all of us if we don't stop the imports of goods, and people.

Consider this: why were the patriot acts put in place? We are going to be in economic ruin. People are going to revolt due to economic disaster and deemed terrorists.

Buy American, export American, hold Americans accountable that sell us out.

I'm all for seeing tax cuts to middle-income families, but i don't agree with bringing it about by increasing taxes on wealthier individuals. I'll stand firm on my belief that there should be a flat tax rate for every income, and not a fluctuating one for different incomes. the more you make, the more the government gets.

I also don't agree with funneling more money into an already-failing education system. Throwing money at the education system isn't going to bring grades up, and that's already been proven again and again. I believe that the entire education system needs to be overhauled, that greater discipline needs to be established in the schools, and that teachers should be held to greater account for their students not learning.

I think the title of the article and the title of your question are misleading. Sounds all great, like Dems are going to cut my taxes. But no where in the article does it state that there is a tax cut bill being brought forth by Democrats. The only concrete issue is a tax INCREASE for the wealthiest folks and mandating "pay go".

I started to get really excited, but now I'm just annoyed by your misleading question and the misleading headline to that story.

I don't see them lowering taxes for the middle class. Historically, the Dems have so many social programs going on that they have to raise taxes on everybody to pay for them. The above sounds like double talk to me, a purely political statement. I can't see how you got anything that really sounds like tax cuts out of it.

Well, of course, the Democrats haven't really been supportive of tax cuts in my lifetime. I don't really expect to see it, but it would be nice. I don't care much about the rhetoric. I only care about the real actions, and thus far, the actions havent shown me anything positive.

As most revenues for the government come from the "middle class", without a cut in spending it is just smoke and mirrors...
