I was just wondering, because I had it bad, and my baby has a ton of hair on his head! Is there a reason for it or is it just an old wives tale?

It's an old wives tale. My cousin just delivered a baby girl Friday, and never had heartburn, and she came out with thick black hair about 3 inches long.

This is an old wives tale. Hair has nothing to do with the pressure on your stomach, which is what causes heartburn.

Lol that is most definately an old wives tale, my mother had severe heartburn with me and i was born bald, and with other people's children it really varied some had full heads of hair and others didn't.

well my first daughter, i had SOOOO MUCH heartburn i ended up at the hospital. well she was born with a full head of thick black hair. this is my second that im pregnant with, and since i have so much heartburn im just betting this one will have lots of hair too lol but its not from me, i was born bald lol (well my hair was so blonde i looked bald. but im not saying its the same with everyone. i know that isnt true. its an old wives tale, but its true on my account lol

I had heartburn off and on with both of my babies and they hardly had any hair on their lil heads. I think it's an old wives tale personally.

that would be false ( old wives tale) i ahd heart burn one time through out my whole pregnancy and my lil girl came out with a head ful of hair i mean tons you could put it up in a pony tail on the top of her head. but yeah it is possible that the baby will come out with a ton of hair but that doesnt mean that it was because of your heart burn

It is just an old wives tale. I lived on tums with both my pregnancies and both my kids were born bald.
