How many women out there douche?

If you do, have you ever suffered from any side effects? How often do you do it?

I do not and never will. It is unhealthy and unnecessary. Your body naturally expels waste. Douching can: cause a yeast infection by getting rid of your natural bacteria and possibly cause other vaginal problems.

i was told to never do that by dr.s, nurses,health teachers. it kills the good bacteria causing infections. if you have an infection already it could push it further up into the cervix area. also using too much sopa, especially smelly ones can cause bacterial infections.your body has a way of cleansing itself if you just shower like normal.

if a woman takes at least 2 bath's (20 minutes each) out of 7 days and shower the rest, you will never need to douche.

i use to but dont any more i kept getting bacterial infections and they were gross my vagina smelled like fish each time i got one. and i had to get antibiotics to get rid of them. my dr said it was from douching douching washes away good bacteria that fights off bad bacteria and douching pushes bad bacteria in to the cervix and other reproductive parts

no. its proven to be unnecessary and bad for you. you can mess up the pH in your vagina and give itself a nasty infection. so the answer is, no and i never ever will. i HATE the Geno, and with all the infections i could get, i would have to make quite a few visits....doesn't sound very fun.

I just do it in the shower during my period. I take the shower head and spray the hot steamy water in there dlushing out all the blood. It leaves me feeling clean and excited (because of a great orgasm).

i do I have never had any side effects from it. I at the most do it once a month. No more than that usually after my period.
