Gum, what a lovely thing! Alright so you have got gum stuck on your shirt, there are a few things you can do!!!
First of all if your shirt can get wet, then you can take ice cubes and freeze the gum that is stuck on your shirt and then the gum will get hard and you can just take it off or it will fall off!!! Just remember to make sure the gum gets rock hard by freezing it with the ice. Another way is to put your shirt in a bag and then place it in the freezer, that will allow your shirt not to get wet (for example if itz dry clean only) so once the shirt is frozen take it out of the freezer and take off the gum (the gum should feel hard!)
Those are the two things I have tried...check out this website for more ideas.
Good luck

Put shirt in freezer for a couple of hours, take it out and pick it off. Might also try smearing it with peanut butter and picking it off, but be careful because the peanut butter might stain the shirt.

Try freezing the shirt, then scraping it off. If that doesn't do it try the peanutbutter. After using the peanutbutter, put Dawn dish soap on the oily spot and wash as usual.

Put peanut butter on it, work it in a little bit, let it sit for awhile, and then scrape the gum off.

"Goo-Gone" works great! Spray it on and then launder it in the hottest water the fabric with withstand. It's also great for removing set in grease stains on clothes. Plus, taking off the residue from price tags, and black marks on the floor.

Popular methods seem to be freezing it by rubbing a piece of ice on it or spraying WD40 on it prior to washing.
