Ah, someone besides me remembers Flower Power!

Yes, they do. They say "I am Sorry For Your Loss", they say "I'm Really Sorry that I was a Jerk"they say "Welcome to the Neighborhood, Office or School"they say "Congratulations".
Also Flowers speak in every language. No wonder back in my teen age years they called it Flower Power!

Flowers have actually spoken for centuries if not thousands of years. For example, years ago strong smelling flowers were used to say, "evil spirits stay away" during a wedding celebration.
Later, during the Roman era, flowers were used to symbolize fertility. Eventually, flowers were given different meanings and used as a way of sending “love notes” in the form of bouquets. Soon, the tradition of the meaning of each flower trickled down and was adopted for the bride’s bouquet.
By tradition, the groom wears a flower that appears in the bridal bouquet in his buttonhole. This custom originates from the Medieval tradition of a knight wearing his lady's colors as a way of saying, "I love you."
Finally, you have probably heard the saying, “say it with flowers.” Flowers to say, "Welcome; I am sorry; I love you"; beside many other things. Also beautifully arranged and fragrant flowers can brighten up a person’s day.

Yes, if they are creative. If the person took the time to find out exactly what the flower means, not just buying red roses to say I love you. There has to be more thought put into it. Like knowing a Pink Cameillia means "I am longing for you." In that case, it is very romantic and speaks volumes!

Nope, not at all. "Say it with flowers???" Who wrote that crap anyway?... they die one day after you get them, they're expensive, not practical and a waste of time. Do one better, go rent a movie, stay home, make popcorn and just sit in silence.
