You can't really get a masters in cosmology, but you can take courses in it. What you're looking for is a masters in physics or astrophysics. If you want to be a research scientist or theorist (those are the people who study cosmology), you'll actually need a Ph.D. - there's not much you can do without one. And to get into a Ph.D. program in physics or astrophysics, you'll need a background in undergrad physics - at the very least, courses in modern physics, classical mechanics, quantum mechanics, and electricity and magnetism. I know some programs accept people with limited backgrounds in physics - but you'll have a LOT of catching up to do.

I don't know anything about New Castle. Email the physics dept and ask about admission standards - you might want to try quite a few other universities as well before you find one you can get into with limited background. Or you could take the necessary courses before applying.

Highest ed I know of in Canada for cosmology is 2 or 3 year certificate but no degree. On the other hand a number of different certificates are available.

Try cecat.mohawkcollege.ca thats the continuing catalogue but will lead you other places
