Current research has embarked on what is called Brainwave Entertainment. It is being developed for the specific purpose of relaxation. It is much like "New Age" music.
Go to Live 365.com and pick a station that is listed under the genre "Healing" to get an idea of what it sounds like. It is said to be able to induice deep relaxation, increased intuition, awareness, enhanced creativity, accelerated learning, elimination of insomnia and the symptoms of stress, and increase endorphin levels.

I thought that it WAS classical but I am not sure. Something that sounds light and airy and not to loud or disturbing like heavy metal or rap or rock music.

do no longer subject your cats to any song. Their ears are plenty greater delicate than ours and could hear each and all the better and decrease frequencies that your stereo could be emitting. enable your cat relish the organic sounds of the exterior, alongside with birds chirping close by. i'm confident that human song feels like no longer something yet noise to cats.
