I've taken Lutera before & missed my period once & decided to get off it. I'm thinking about reconsidering but don't know if i should? Was it normal to miss it? Is there a way i can take some type of birth control without missing my period at all?

Usually, birth control has either a week where you stop taking the pills, or a week where you take "sugar" pills (i.e. fake pills that look like the real ones, just so you remember to take them everyday).

You shouldn't be missing any periods, but if you just missed one, then I think there is a chance that your body was just adjusting to the pills.

(You do miss periods if you take the "real" pills straight through, without using the sugar pills though! And that isn't recommended usually.... )

She'll have an early period. Missing just one pill can do it. It happens to me all the time. In the middle of my pack I'll miss a pill and have a 2-3 day period and then have one again when my sugar pills start. Its normal.

At first it is normal for your period to change...but, after 3 months your period should become very regular. If you do not take the 7 sugar pills at the end of the pack, and you just start on a new pack, you will miss your period. My friend does this so that she doesn't have it.

yes it's normal. Birth control is nothing but hormones. And when your cycle come you r body go through changes with hormones. By taking the birth control it can interfere with that. But if you want to leave it alone then strapp up. Birth control wont stop you from getting preg anyway. Lots of people are getting preg on it.

Check with your OB-Gyne about the pills. I haven't tried one, but I know birth control pills are meant to prevent ovulation which is necessary for being pregnant. These should not stop your period, though.

It is normal within the first few months you start BC pills to have a big change in your cycle. Some dont have one, others have one that lasts longer than usual. Don't worry. Let your body adjust to it.
