I am 8 months pregnant...yet i look like a woman who is 4.5 months pregnant. that's how big my tummy is! Does anyone know why this happens to some women and not others? i've gained efficient weight and eat right and exercise right...but i'm still pondering on it! i was small when i was pregnant with my daughter too. i just want to know about this mystery. i mean i dont want to be as big is a tent, but, it would make me feel better if i actually LOOKED 8 months pregnant. if anyone can help, thanks.

I looked tiny with all of mine. A lot depends on how you are built and how big the baby is. I am not tall, and don't have much of a waist, but I was very tiny even in my ninth month. My babies were all in the 6 1/2 to 7 pound range, and I gained 27, 17, and 20 pounds. Hope that helps some. Also enjoy being tiny. You will feel more comfortable in the end.

Lucky You!!! Nothing is wrong with you. Different people carry differently. It also depends on your body frame in relation to the size of the baby. Don't worry about it, and know that the woman that is 8 months pregnant and as big as a house will be probably be envious to see you and know that you're 8 months.

Some people just carry close to their bodies, and it sounds like you're one of the lucky ones. I was like that with my first child, barely looked pregnant at 6 months, but by my 2nd, a year later, I was huge! If your abdominal muscle tone is good, and your body has room to carry the baby close, then you might manage to escape the trauma of dreaded "after baby body". My 2nd is now one and a half, and I still hate mirrors. I know it's frustrating to feel like you're missing some of the experience, but down the road, it will likely benefit you and your self-esteem. Another benefit to carrying close is the increased perception of movement. The baby is closer to your organs (poor bladder), and so you get to feel more, which is awesome!

I WAS VERY SMALL WHEN I CARRIED MY FIRST CHILD. MY OTHER TWO CHILDREN I WAS HUGE. I DON'T KNOW WHY THAT HAPPENS. I ALSO DIDN'T GAIN ANY WEIGHT WITH MY FIRST TWO PREGNANCY'S. I WOULD GAIN TWO OR THREE POUNDS THEN LOSE IT THE NEXT TIME I WENT BACK TO THE DOCTOR. MY THIRD PREGNANCY I GAIN A TOTAL OF 8 POUNDS. IT IS VERY WERID HOW THESE THINGS HAPPEN. I HOPE I HELPED YOU ALITTLE. GOOD LUCK TO YOU AND THE BABY.

I think its just part of our human differences. I don't get it either. My friend was a size 22 when she was younger and dropped to a size 11, I thought she'd get fat when she got pregnant, she looked about 5 months when she was 8.5.

If you have a long torso it is the most common reason! I have always looked 4 months when I deliver and I am thin, just have a long torso for baby to stretch in & pretty tight abs!

it is weird to be small at 8 months, but it's also normal. i dont think you should really worry about the size you look at 8 months, when my mom is pregenant with me she looked like she had 4 kids in her. but as long as the doctor says the babyu is healthy thats good. be happy your small at 8 months, just think less wieght to lose after your baby is born.

ok...so I don't think this was the best thing...
My mother in law claims she only gained 6 lbs when she was pregnant and then after the birth, she weighed less than she had prior to getting pregnant. Very unhealthy and now my hubbie has unreasonable expectations (his mom still claims it was ok)
I think everyone gains a differnent amount and you gain the most at the end...
GOod luck!

There is really no answers to this except that everyone carries the weight differently, while some carry it in one place ,others may have it evenly spread out making them look like you.
