The memories of my past are fluid and sub sequential movies placed firmly into my mind, stages of early, stages of present, all flowing together into a featureless globule mass needing to be refined, yet, once a feature is refined, it is in high intense scenes, only intensified by the rhythm of memorable musical compositions....

My memories tend to be moving frames.
Some however, are still shots and they are spectacular :)

Personally, my memories are much more abstract than mere images. In addition to still frames and motion clips, I also remember the feel of actions, sounds, smells.
For example, I remember how to swing a baseball bat, (and I'm actually not bad at it), but I've never actually seen myself do it. Text and various other things are also in my brain, too.

Wow, interesting Q! I have to say it's a combination of both. Some things, like the first kiss I had with my boyfriend, are stills from someone else's perspective, while others, like watching my social studies teacher wheel a TV into the classroom and silently turn it on to the news on 9/11 are scrolling.

Sometimes it seems they're in digital reality.
I'm wearing the headset and everything is in the right place but I'm aware of the hard edge of digital reality.
Yet some scenes in life are recalled in slo-mo with a the soft focus of time.
