I live in South Florida and like to keep the AC on and at 75 degrees. She says this is freezing! I even pay more money towards the ultilities because of this. I had a fever tonight and she was still complaining. I told her 75 degrees is normal, not freezing. She completely disagrees. I am getting frustrated. What do I do? She loves humidity, I don't. Help!!!

Tell her she can deal with it and compromise (you should try to as well) or you two are going to have to seek different living arrangements.

It is one thing to complain when you are healthy, but doing so when you are sick (assuming that you told her that you were sick) is very immature.

As for the general problem, might I suggest makeing a slight compromise. Agree to raise the temp by just a few degrees and ask her to quit complaining. You might also go by a second hand store and pick up a sweater for her as a hint. After all, she can always put on more clothes.

LOL i can understand how u feel... I have two roommates and I am the type of person who likes to have a normal temp in the house. She thinks that 75 is freezing too! so0 what we agreeded on was to at night let her turn it to 80 for 10-15 mins (I sometimes close my vent) and then she turn it off. and we (me and my other room mate) suggest her to get a personal heater and she did. Maybe you and her can try that.

Simple get a Air conditioner for your own room and try to chill lol in there, that way you wont have to pay as much for utlities cause youll only be cooling a small room and you wont get angry and mad at your roomate, and possibly lose a friend.

Tell her that the room is just as your as it is hers and that she has to compermise. Obiously your not just being mean to her if your getting sick cause it's to hot. 75 degrees is totally not freezing so I don't know what shes talking about.
