Lots of small bland meal during the day. My sis lived off cheez its and Dr Pepper for the first 3 mo. Also ask you dr about a cream for your wrist that will ease the nausea

I had awful morning sickness and what ultimately helped the most was keeping my blood sugar up. I kept a thermos of juice with me and sipped it all day long . . . you'll gain weight but that's on the agenda for pregnancy anyway.

If you feel sick in the morning have some juice and toast 15 minutes before you get out of bed (provided someone will get up and bring it to you).

P.S. I used Zofran (as did another answerer) and it worked really well for me as well. Make sure you get the sublingual tabs though.

congratulations, i have never experienced morning sickness but i had been advised that if i ever got it, i should get up from bed very slowly and it is better to drink some milk with a biscuit or cracker before you get out of bed, preferably a salted cracker... try taking smaller amounts of food several times a day rather than eating three big meals... during the day, if morning sickness occur try sucking a lemon.. it does help though it might cause heartburn if you have a high acidity... good luck, it should go away after three months..

I'm going thru it right now. Try this, it works for me. Get saltines, and some water. Put them by your bed. BEFORE you get up and start moving around, eat a few saltines. And, drink some water. That should help. Also, you can drink some tea (for some reason drinking regular black tea with honey and milk makes me feel better), or you can try peppermint tea, or ginger tea, that usually helps too.

Whatever you do, don't get out of bed and start running around. When I did that, it made me throw up the next thing I tried to eat. Good luck!

Try drinking Sprite or 7-up. Go on a soft diet, eat easy to digest stuff like soup, fruits and juices. If the morning sickness affects you so much, your ob-gyne can also prescribe you with an anti-emetic/anti-nausea pill so that you can still function normally. Zofran worked well for me, although it was pretty pricey :(

along with the suggestion of crackers, try not to make any sudden movements first thing in the morning. SLOWLY get yourself out of bed and ready for the day.

hope you start feeling better, and congrats on the pregnancy!
