my husband and i have been married for 6 months and we just decided to start a family. i found out i was pregnant about a month ago (give or take a month and a half) today i went to my ob-gyn because i had read up on the symptoms (vaginal bleeding) and so i thought it would be a good idea to get a pelvic exam (which is reccomended to see if it is a miscarriage) and i'm upset about the miscarriage, but i'm even more upset because my husband really wanted to be a father, and he was so excited when i told him. so any pick-me-ups would be appreciated.
thank you

Hi, firstly sorry, I've been in this situation too and I know how very upsetting it is. I found joining web groups the best thing, even though your friends may be sympathetic if they havn't been through it it's very hard to fully understand, also my hubby dealt with his pain in a different way to me so it was a hard time to communicate when I needed it most, this is apparently typical for men to react differently to women. I found the below website really helpful:
Good luck and I promise the pain passes...

First off..don't think it's your fault if that thought has run through your head. Just remember that God has a time and place for everything. Between my son and daughter, I had 4 miscarriages. They are 2 years apart. What you should do is keep going. They best part of NOT being pregnant is the fun of still trying :) (you have to smile at that lol) Just so you know, a lot of women have miscarriages and don't even know it. Early stage miscarriages usually just mean that the egg and sperm were not a good match for each other.

Don't dwell on it. I know it hurts, but if you want a baby that bad, just keep trying. The baby will come when the time is right.

If you ever need to talk, just IM.

Take care sweetie, and keep your head up!

I miscarried on dec.9 2003at about 12 weeks, then was allowed to start trying again in february after my first regular period. I got pregnant the first month and now have a beautiful 2 year old girl. The doc told me that you are more likely to get pregnant after a miscarriage because the hormones that support your pregnancy are still there and can help make the most absolutely desirable environment for a fertilized egg! Also she said that having an orgasm really helps because it causes lots of changes like lowering and slightly opening the cervix, and producing a really semen friendly discharge which helps the little swimmers live the longest possible time! Also it makes the trying much more fun!!! I'm sorry for your loss, but keep trying, the results are well worth the pain!

Oh I am so sorry, My first pregnany was a misscarriage I too had only been married 5 or 6 months at the time. My OB told me that most miscarriages are natures way of keeping a healthy baby, most 95% are caused because baby had a defect (heart not developing etc or baby not develpoing at all) when he told me that I felt relieved that I did not cause it, Secondly I always pictured and still do my baby in heaven being rocked to sleep by my great grandfather. I am currently pregnant with our 2rd child, there is always hope,

I took her to the well being facility and stayed w/her till she become taken to her room contained in the well being facility for the nighttime. the unhappy ingredient is our childrens might want to were some months aside. i did not pick to inform her i become pregnant b/c i presumed i become being advise b/c i got here upon out that i become pregnant some months later after she miscarried. you're an excellent woman. I talked to associates who had more effective than one miscarriage and also have 3 childrens. you'd be a mom. Your toddler turned right into a blessing. i doesn't say some thing to that human being who revealed that b/c some human beings on right here don't have a coronary heart. I requested a question about low income housing and someone made a sensible remark and stated I could were on birth control. I deleted the question b/c i presumed it become rude. one thing that helps some ppl is knowing that is really common. it happnes to 1 in 4 women at some point in thier lives. And also it doesnt mean you wont be able to have a healthy pregnancy. It just means something was wrong with the development of the embryo and it was natures way of ending an unhealthy pregnancy. I read it has nothing to do with the mothers body. I hope those help some. good luck !!! im sorry to hear about what happned . you will be ok :)

i know how you feel i had a miscarriage last February at 9 weeks which would have been my second baby. i know its hard but don't blame yourself. i went and bought a plant that had pretty coloured flowers on to remember the baby by. having the miscarriage i was blaming myself for it as i thought it didn't happen with my first why my second one. don't forget to talk to your husband or close friend or family try not to bottle how your feeling about what has happened. give your body time to heel the doctors told me to wait for about 3 months before trying again but because i had a d&c i had to go for a checkup about 6 weeks later i was given the all clear so we decided to try again so we did we now have a boy who is 3 & a girl who is 1.

If you are very young, sometimes your body is not ready for it. Just think that your baby is a little angel that is with God, and that our God is a good god, perhaps something could have been wrong with your little one and he wants to send you the perfect child.

Get yourself checked really medically, and wait a few months, until all your organs are healed, then try again. Sometimes it helps to speak to a Person of God, if you are a believer, it will ease your anxiety, pain, and most of all will give you the peace required for your special little one to come under the right circumstances.

God Bless both of you, and May the Lord bring you peace

I am sure that you are sick of hearing everyone tell you to "hang in there" and "it'll pass" The way I see it is that it doesn't ever "pass", but it does get a little easier. Some days will be easier than others, but the important thing to remember is that you and your husband did create a beautiful miracle and nobody can take that away from either one of you.
When the time is right for both you and your husband, it WILL happen again and it will be glorious!!! My condolences to both of you and know that you are in my prayers.
