"Kinky" and "Fetish" often come up in the same sentence when discussing sexual prowessness. A kink would be something outside the norm that you're into, whereas a fetish would be somthing you're into that belays all other desires. A foot fetishist, for example, will focus on feet rather than more healthy outlets of sexuality; they obsess on it, they NEED it over the traditional sex aspects of SEX.

I swear, these days, just using a condom is considered a fetish by many. The Catholic Church would tell you you're sinning for using a condom!

But in the playful line of relationships, being a little "kinky" isn't a bad thing. You may shave your bikini line to be kinky... or sit on top of your mate to do same.

Being "kinky" isn't as bad as being "KINKY" as in hard core S&M. But don't worry yourself about that. The word kinky isn't as highly charged as it was in the 1970s.

A kink is a wrinkle, warp, or deviation. Many languages use the root for 'perverse' in translation, and perversion literally means to purposefully ignore the truth. The word kinky has become synonymous with sexual perversion, but it retains a mild connotation of playfulness. Willfully ignoring the truth would apply here in the sense of sexually permissive 'games', such as role playing, etc. Kinky would be considered more toward the sexual norm than perverted.

A good example of kinky is using a duck feather for intimate pleasure. As in contrast to perverted, which would be using the whole duck.

Well... there's an old joke. "Erotic" means teasing someone with a feather. "Kinky" means teasing them with the whole chicken. In other words, it means very wild, usually in the sexual cotnext.
