The BCS is criticized BECAUSE IT SUCKS TO HAVE TEAMS "VOTED" into position to play for the title instead of their records standing up more on their own! Granted, certain schools in weaker conferences wouldn't deserve a shot on paper, but I say, line them up and let them PLAY! If Boise State can pull it off, it can be done! All a team like Boise State needs is a couple more quality wins a year and my argument would a bit more solid, but the BCS as it is now is terrible because several teams over the years that were as deserving of a shot as the teams that actually played/won got left in the cold! With a BCS-forged PLAYOFF though, it would no longer be an issue!

Because you can have a situation like this year where the only undefeated team in the entire nation, Boise State, doesn't even get the chance to play in the National Championship. A playoff is obviously needed, and would allow Cinderella teams such as Boise State as well as the top "BCS" teams to play their way up to the National Championship game and win it all.

People rag on the BCS because there is no playoff in college football. Everyone that is petitioning for a playoff in college football just shut up. It's not going to happen. The schedule would be too long for a playoff and the health of the players would be at risk. A playoff will never happen and the BCS is the next best thing. So everyone who rips on the BCS, just shut up because there are no better options.

the flexibility of schedule undertaking isn't the all important ingredient that the bcs makes use of it as. there have been quite a few video games this season that communities have performed specific video games waaaaayyy out of their SoS. i think of the bcs replaced into extra in for a stable reason, even if it can not account for the efforts in video games plagued by contention, climate, staggering play against a heavily popular opponent and such. what approximately comebacks? might desire to a collection be penalized for putting up a combat to win on the top as a replace of giving up and getting a loss? in the event that they are to apply desktops to analyize scores, why not positioned some aspects into the computations that provide extra game style to the ending consequences on account that there is in all probability to in no way be a playoff experience. it may be loopy to attempt to evaluate all the communities that play in one 3 hundred and sixty 5 days with schedules set so some distance in improve of play and based on the SoS, that once it replaced into set might have been a very diverse image than 3 years later while the game performs out.

Every year it leaves fans wondering "What would have happened if" This year I am wondering what would have happened if Boise State played Ohio State.
