My computer lags horrendously whenever I click on the LAN or multiplayer tab and it connects to the internet. I have a feeling it might have something to do with my new video card and/or hard drive that were recently installed in the last 2 weeks. My firewall is turned off too by the way. 3 weeks ago, I was able to play these games perfectly online, no lag.

Anit-virus software, firewalls and most especially Windows Defender play a big role in internet game place slow downs. Even with being hi-powered .net driven on Comcast is a pain sometimes.
Something else to consider is the server you are logging into. They have also be having issues with an overbundance of players. I've had that happen to me as well. As long as I drop the firewalls for a time, and lower the settings on the anti-virus, it'll speed up.

It must be ur antivirus that is making the system lag while connecting to a multiplayer game, or check whether the video card installed is working properly or not.

ok dude I certainly have seen you ask this question sufficient i think of that it is the router you like a instantaneous ABG router I asssume which you're utilising the computing gadget and the video games on the comparable time while this happens

if anything i would go with the video card, if it was working fine why did you change it? havent you ever heard if it ain't broke don't fix it? good luck with this
