The plug in was inadvertently knocked sideways and leaked out onto carpet. The stain resembles the brownish residue on the outside of the plug in after it has been used awhile.

If it's new pour baking soda over it, it absorbs great. Scrub with water and then with a cleaner. After make sure you rinse really well.

I found a great product called SPOT SHOT and use it all the time
It works on almost anything !! Give it a try!
Available in most stores and even in the auto care section

Ask the Glade people about the compostion and go from there. They might even have some cleaning suggestions.
