I would remind him how it worked out for the last guy why who said he was the messiah or .. give him a cross and say everytime he feels unappreciated he can climb on up and nail himself to it ... and if either of those dont work .. there is always a nice little room in a clean little hospital (he might have a reservation there waiting for him cause I know I have some reservations ABOUT him)

I would say buzz off.
But what if he really was the Messiah and I just blew my chances of going to Heaven by doing that?
Mmmm, I would probably give him a buck and say that I have an important meeting to make.
Score both ways!

I'd tell him to bring me the pudding. That's where the proof is. 8~)

Seriously though, I would ask him to spell messiah. Then I would look him square in the eye and say, "I am the Anti-Christ ... bring it!"

I would slap him because everyone will know when the Messiah will really come

Laugh at him. I know that when the Messiah comes again every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord. He will also come in all His glory and will not be mistaken this time.

Well I was walking down the street when a beautiful friendly gal,
trying to 'chum' me in said,"Well, how do you know heaven isn't THAT way
and HAIL (the direction I was headed) is THAT way!"
I kept walking.

Probably laugh my *** off in his face, or respond, "No brother, I am the Messiah."

I would ask for a sign...just to be sure he wasn't a David Koresh or a Charlie Manson.

I would ask him to tell me something about me that only I know. Or maybe ask why there aren't any people floating around.
