Why do they think they can solve some problems of the world only to make it worse? eg Iraq and Afghanistan. All this whilst they ignore other problems, doing nothing for all the problems in Africa? Either they are dumb "do gooders" or only interested in themselves or what gain they can get from interfering. Does anyone else think Americans are dumb and 'polically challenged".

I am horribly addicted to this issue. I think it could be empirically measured to suggest that as a result of a weaker education system Americans although not genetically inferior are 'dumber'. This is also a cultural phenomenon as a whole subculture of Americans are told not to question their belief systems. Be it Religion or politics. Here is an IQ breakdown by country that you can take with a grain of salt, there is also an interesting correlation between low IQ and degree of religion in a country that I uncovered by accident as well.

I am US borne, I lived in Miami-Florida for seven years, before that, I lived in south America and recently move out of Florida for good to the UK, and now I look back to these past 7 years and even though I did my professional career there, I felt it was the 7 worst years of my live (social wise), because of this capitalistic systems I did not have many friends, everybody was busy, did not have a real girlfriend cause I did not have money to show and people saw me like I was a rat because I was poor “the more you have, the more you are” . And in the US, you can not pursued a university degree unless you come from a very wealthy family or live in debt for the rest of your life and if you become sick, you either have to have an insurance (very expensive if not paid by employer) or lived in debt for the rest of your live.

I think in the US, there is a culture to work but not culture to socialise with others, for example Drs see you as a number $ more than as a patient, i don’t want to generalise but i think the US system changes people into machines and blocks their mind form what is outside, most of the people I meet there, think that the US is the best country in every single way, without even visiting other countries, well I don’t blame then , with the little time off we had in Florida as listed on linked below, there is not time to visit any other countries,

Well, something else I realize when I was travelling Europe and south America, I noticed that most of Americans did not make any effort to a least speak the most common or used word in other languages and expect everybody to speak english as once a girl from Chicago told me “we are leaving the a globalisation world so everybody need to speak English”

In the other hand I think that economically wise US is great , my parents are doing financially very well so is my brother and most of the people I know, but unfortunately all the money they make and have, cant not even be enjoyed. I truly respect you opinion but I think that WE as “Americans” should see the world equally, change our minds, not because we are richest and have the economical power we have the right to abuse others and impose our system, ethics, morals as every country has their own and we should respect that.

Let's see Iraq and Afghanistan now allow women to vote. Is this a bad thing to you? Why should we ignore where the majority of terrorists come from the middle east? It is a national security issue. What the fu*k has your country done to help Africa? We have spent billions on aid. We tried to feed them in Somalia, and look what happened. If you are refering about Darfur, it is another muslim civil war between black muslims and arab muslims. You go help!

Balanced against the whole of history, I think not. Balanced against any other average person in the world, I think not.

But then throughout history the written words after war or revolution, have been Peace Process. Verbally pronounced Piece Process. Even the UN operates on this premise. Who is dumb?

i imagine it really is a modern international fashion. i imagine human beings are growing dumber specifically fields like Math, technological information and technologies, even as fields like banking, finance have remained unaffected. I studied laptop Engineering in a college in Nigeria for decades in the previous I got here to visit to a US college, and my own journey (and my grades) teach that the coursework is clearly numerous degrees a lot less puzzling over right here contained in the U.S. similar statements might want to be made even as comparing coursework in India, China and Japan. on the different hand, there's a continuing mind drain from around the globe to the U. S. contained in the technological information and math fields as thousands of people migrate from international places like China and India to the U. S. to commence new lives each three hundred and sixty 5 days, so I dont imagine the U. S. will lose its technological area for some a lengthy time period a minimum of. in reality, take a walk by way of the school of Engineering homes of maximum colleges contained in the U. S. and u will see a dominance of Asian scholars (even as China receives their act thoroughly jointly, its over=)

No Americans are not dumb. We only invented just to name 2 the internet and the plane, Landed on the moon. Became the number 1 super power. Ended the Cold War and have taken down many evil dictators. Im sure you know since you are so smart, that we give billions of dollars to 3rd world countries in Africa and all over the world. Knowing fully well they will never beable to pay us back. Also we are trying to fight terrorism now and taking them out. Since most terrorists come from the middle east thats where we will fight. If Africa starts making terrorist im sure we will pay them a visit.

I find Americans to be more ignorant than dumb... though dumb they are.

Yeah we are kinda dumb. We keep focusing on everyone else's problems while ignoring our own. We are letting hundreds of illegals walk right into our country and drag it down economically. And we are completely ignoring how morally depraved our country is becoming because we are SOOO obsessed with individual rights rather than the good of our society as a whole.

So yeah, I guess we are dumb.
