Someone else mentioned this, but the shape makes a big differenece. 4 acres is about 190,000 sq ft. If you have 4 acres that form a rectacngle, say 20 feet wide, that would make the length about 9500 feet, almost 2 miles. So the total parimeter would be around 4 miles. To walk 4 miles would take most people more than an hour.

Sq ft / sq mile = 5280*5280/640=43560
Feet per mile squared divided by acres per square mile

43560/4=10890 = 1/4 acre
Square feet per acre divided by 4
