Ofcourse not,IE7 is full of bugs and not so stable browser,I warmly suggest that you install Mozzila firefox.But its yours choice.

I suggest you wait until you are absolutely required to upgrade to IE7. I already upgraded and now I have lots, and lots of script errors. (WIN xp sp2). I am caught between software companies - each saying the other guy is at fault. LOL. I am not an expert, but don't migrate TOO early is my suggestion.

IE7 is an optional update but it works perfectly fine (unlike what some are saying)
Most likely those complaining have outdated PC's that crash if you look at them (PC's) the wrong way.

no you dont have to, you dont have to have IE at all if you dont want it, i used firefox for a long time and uninstalled IE all together but however if you want to download the updates from microsoft the you have to have IE so i have recently reinstalled it but only use it to get the updates
