We seem to have this obsession for "progess", fast progress. What is progress. Is war progess? Is democracy progress? What about iPods and PS3/Wii's? What's wrong with not having progess,

As the human race has progressed it has gained intelligence, it is our intelligence that has caused most of the wordls problem. I think we're slowly progressing towards worse and if things were to stop we'd be able to get back in touch with our true nature.

I don't know? Good question. I don't there's anything wrong with not having progress but the lack thereof eats "Great Minds" alive which pushes them to progress and I think we're cruising for a bruising by global warming.

What you describe is NOT progress.. just consumerism.. forced down our throats by the greedy corporate giants running this country.. : (

Progress is in knowledge. We see it in medicine, in technology, in politics. When society progresses, we are learning more about the universe, and we apply this knowledge to benefit the lives of everyone in the world.

I think that its not progress you see but consumer creation. Welcome to america. The best thing you can hope for is some sort of higher inlightenment. Spur the unconcious american sheep to veiw the world as a stage for which we make relationships and better living.
