I think it's gonna be even more convoluted than that! I just heard Nancy trying to communicate her position in an interview on some news program. The interviewer wasn't quite sure what she said and what she's for.

So, let me see if I understand this - you're angry because some people, in most cases Democrats, follow polls to do the will of the majority. I thought that they worked for us? I would LOVE for them to start listening to the majority of the American people and not just K-Street.
Of course, this scenario requires a well-informed populace, otherwise the "will of the people" is meaningless.
What the polls tell me is that Americans (72%) are sick of the "Iraq War". I have yet to see a poll on taxes, but I am sure the majority of Americans would prefer budget cuts to tax increases.
Most telephone polls are taken between 5 and 8 PM, not during the day. I get 3 or 4 a week, never during the day - usually at dinnertime.

As opposed to say… influencing and reacting to the polls by manipulating the ignorance, bigotry, and fear of the least educated and most weak minded voters.
Republican claims of not being influenced by polls are as great a lie as if democrats said it.
It was easy for them to say that when Bush was riding an 80% popularity wave.
But, didn’t you notice (and, apparently, you did not) that as soon as those numbers dropped below 50%, the “Great Decider” could not make up his mind about anything until Rove and Cheney fully beat into his head.
And, what was up with the macho man of decision running off to Crawford after being blasted by the Baker report? Now, instead of facing his failure like a man, Bush will send even more Americans to their deaths for the sake of his own ego (and poll numbers in preparation for the 2008 elections).

That is the norm for their style of governance. Of all their new proposals, the one NOT on the table is the big surprise. Nothing about pulling out of Iraq. Warnings, though to Bush to not send more troops.
My biggest gripe with liberals starts with no personal responsibility. You know, they hold grudges against being disciplined as children, so now everytime someone DOES try to instill some decent behavior, the parent now gets charged with child abuse. Later in life, these addled children do some of the vilest acts, but to the liberals, it's the environment they were brought up in (which to me goes back to no parental discipline). Now with so many people in prison, liberals are saying we are doing something wrong by incarcerating these misunderstood people who could be rehabilitated by a little counseling, then let loose on the unsuspecting public.
Not to mention two-faced liberal politicians who sold out (in our region) the textile and wood-working industries with NAFTA, etc, then come right back complaining about loss of jobs to foreign competition (our politicians doing), then about all the new jobs they bring in (answer centers paying minimum wage and little benefits). And how long has it been since the minimum wage has been raised ... PUHLEESE! The politicians, of course, vote themselves higher wages for the good job they do, as well as give themselves elite medical care.

It would be refreshing to have politicians who actually acted on the wishes of the majority of Americans instead of falling victim to their own hubris and leading this country into a hellhole.

I never could understand the logic when it comes to the issue of tax breaks. Why should the rich pay less and the middle to poor have thiers raised to compensate? If you are wealthy and can afford to support your country more than a hard working middle class family isnt it your civic duty to do so? This is why the lines are so clearly drawn in our country and fyi, there are alot more middle to poor families in america than there are wealthy. Moslty poor sadly. God bless america!

Yet another 5 points wasted by this person. What? Do you think you can throw them away as easily as your president throws away the lives of American soldiers?
