I don't know what that girl was talking about with deoderant, but that does not sound like a very smart idea. Do not put anything near your bikini area that should not be there-esp. with all those chemicals in deoderant!

They make women's electric razors and thats what I use. There is a special Bikini attatchment.

I have never waxed either, too shy I suppose! But, try shaving in a nice hot bath. That will open up the hair follicle, this will help w/ a smoother, closer shave. Always use a sharp razor, and good shaving cream! I like the gel kind.

As far as the shaving, you can try putting deodorant on the area after you shave and that may help. It's a popular suggestion. Waxing hurts like hell but feels amazing. They should prescribe painkillers for waxing. I loved the feeling of it but could only do it once, and then I decided to invest in permanent laser hair removal. With waxing, the hair grows back after about 2 weeks, and if you wax many times you may eventually damage the hair follicle so the hair doesn't grow anymore.

There is a product out called coochie cream that works wonderfully for shaving your private areas. I found in it an adult store and had to try it because of the title. Heavy hair conditioner also works really well for a nice smooth shave.

Have your inner thighs done first so you know what to expect. I went for a bikini wax and I could only tolerate one side (which looks stupid by the way). good luck!!
