Plug a friends Monitor into your Laptop.

Does it work Ok?

If yes your Laptop screen has failed.

If no your Laptops video display has failed. This is usually an integral part of the the Mainboard.

You can not - sob -fix either of these problems.

If it's a warranty issue contact the service agent.

If not it will be expensive and possibly uneconomic to repair.

If your friends Monitor works ok you could purchase a external monitor. CRT - Television types - are cheap - It will not be portable anymore but it may still do the job for you.

Chances are you've broken the LCD monitors crystal matrices. There is no fix for this other than replacement. The bad news is high prices of notebooks are because of the LCD monitors in them. Its the most expensive part. So likely it will be more than half the original price of your notebook to replace it. If your PC has a video connection in the back you may want to just buy an external monitor 'in leu of' assuming you dont travel with it.

Your screen has suffered from catastrophic physical damage. The only repair is to replace it.

If your computer is not working properly while you are working on it, it could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software.
