they seem to do nothing but follow what someone else tells them.
they can't make their own decisions, because that's not 'fashionable'. lemmings also come to mind with their collective consiousness, in that they follow their leader, even if it means death

youve hit the nail on the head my friend. no, the collective conscious is not limited to lemmings, but gathered from everything & everyone. even you and i. i think the part thats pissing you off is that some are more aware and inclined to be creative with their own uniqueness thats left over. then theres the others, lead by the nose, afraid(for lack of a better word) of fading off into the abyss if not latched onto whatever the bulk of the group is doing. some "get it", some dont. i believe some could not and will not "get it" in this lifetime, and would be detrimental to thier minds to attempt to comprehend autonomously. they serve purpose just let them be, theyre not ready to be weened.

Trendy as in the "mall" they are lemmings. I don't shop there. I buy what suits me from the surf shop and from trade shows I go to. Also being a trainer I bypass Footlocker and head for the outlet mall.
