Well firstly it's your mother and you're almost an adult so she will probably understand if you're sexually active and be proud of you for wanting birth control, but I started BC at 16 and didn't tell my mom until 17 or 18 so I understand. I started mine at a teen clinic at my school and it was confidential so my mom didn't know I had it until I told her. If you do want her to know about it you could say you want it for the other reasons BC is good for:
1. To make your periods regular..you could tell her your periods are very irregular and you don't like (wondering when your period will come, having it come and you're unprepared because you weren't expecting it, etc.)
2. To clear up your skin (only applies to BC pills, ortho tri-cyclin)
That's what my friends told their parents.

When you go to the doctor make sure to mention your cycle is irregular and ask is there anything u can take to make it more regualr...they'll put u on the pill & your mom wont know...but u should tell her

Well, tell her that it is hard to ask her for birth control but it would be harder to ask her to watch your babies when you are a teen. Make her realize what could happen if you are not on the pill.

Tell her you want to get on the pill so it will help regulate your cycle

Don't tell her? Doctors are confidential arent they?

Or just CONSTANTLY moan about how horrible and annoying your periods are.. just go on and on and on and on about it.. she might bring up the pill..or you could bring it up say it will help your periods etc
