I have a Dooney and Bourke purse--the cream coloured one with the multi-coloured "DB" all over it--that I haven't taken out of the closet for a while. It has now turned a hideous yellow-y colour. Any ideas why, or how to fix this? Thanks!

If the bag gets water on it the purse will turn yellow
just buy a darker color next time.

It could be many reasons .... the atmosphere it has been stored in (damp, smokey, what people have listed), if something happened to it (caught in the rain, etc ... i nearly ruined a brand new Kooba bag one day during a sudden downpour), if its fake, etc.
My thought is that if its the purse I'm thinking of ... the plastic-y feeling material with the colored logos, then its just normal wear and tear. That material does not remain perfectly light colored over time, its bound to turn yellow from the outside in.
Check to see if the original tags mentioned anything about cleaning or guarentees. Otherwise, I hate to say it, but you might be out of luck. Hope it works out! Good luck!

contact Dooney and Bourke and ask them the reason the purse turned yellow.

Do you or anyone in your house smoke? If so this could have caused it. Cigarette smoke stains all sorts of things. I've seen curtains, furniture, even walls that had been subjected to it that had turned color-like an icky yellow. I think its the nicotine in them.

Ask D & B (or) ask a stable Cobbler (a cobbler is a guy or female who fixes/maintenance shoes) they deal in leather-based and that they understand leather-based - they even understand the thank you to DYE leather-based. you will get the respond you're searching for - so bypass rapidly to a source which may even grant you *storage* adivice.

if your house is badly insulated, the closet couldve been damp. if your clothes feel bad or turn colour like your bag, it was probably the closet. if your clothes are fine, it was a fake...sorry

If you registered it when you first bought it, it is guarenteed. Contact them to find out how to replace it.
