I think that it is not the responsibility of fast food restaurants to raise prices. They are not your nutritionists. I eat McDonalds and other fast foods all the time and I am most definitely not over weight. I believe that it is the people's responsibility to look out for themselves. If they are obese, then they should be able to control themselves enough to know not to eat McDonalds. Maybe they make excuses likes its in their genes, but that is nothing a little diet and excersise cant fix. People need to learn a little self control, not blame all of their problems on McDonalds, or because the Burger King advertises on TV. If they are fat and want to lose weight, then you need the self control to do it by yourself, or if you need a little help, consult a physician, nutritionist, or physical trainer.

Of course. In this free American society we are ultimately responsible for our own bodies, Halleluja!! but lets not forget that Madison Avenue can share the blame for most of our attitudes. Do you know that all advertising is 100 percent tax deductible for companies? 100 percent!! Its free!! This means its free!! This is why we are bombarded with commercials for not just fast food, but EVERYTHING!! and the first law of advertising is that if you bombard the public with an ad 1000 times, on the 1001st time, THEY'LL BUY IT!

its a shame we all suffer by having to spend more tax dollars because a handful of people wont take responsibility for themselves.Somebody eats 15 hamburgers a day and gets fat and just has to blame somebody.I think the blame should always lie with yourself. If you dont want to be obese, get off your lazy butt and do somethin, and push yourself away from the table.

Too much of anything isn't good for us. We should be allowed to indulge in something "not good for us" every once in a while. Some people go overboard and up falling into the "overweight" category.
