I will be having a major in Biology. But for a minor I was thinking Spanish because I love it and I am really good at it and it is really important. But I know others who major in Biology but who minor in like psychology, sociology. So is a Spanish minor good(I know I will have an A in Spanish and learn a lot)? or will medical school not be impressed?

Not too many people minor Spanish and go to med school right?

Spanish sounds great. You love it and it will be very helpful. Unless you plan on becoming a psychiatrist, I'd go with Spanish. It's makes you look more well rounded since it's so different from a pre-med student who just does the minimum foreign language.

The best choice if possible is to select is a subject you love or related to what you want to specialize as a medical doctor. The Spanish idea is great but can be pretty intense on the college level taking a foreign language. A second language can benefit a doctor with their practice because they can communicate with more patients directly without needing a translator.

A Spanish minor is an excellent choice because it is becoming very important to be able to speak that language. Most immigrants coming into the US now speak Spanish. It will help you in your med. practice.
