I own a base rsx 06 model, and its an auto, so i should have a slow car if any of these misinformed people know what theyre talking about,....but they dont. Off the line, my car is quick and responsive. If i mash on it, the car jumps off the line, revs high, and gets up to speed quickly. Once im going, it climbs up the speedometer with remarkable ease. Ive been lunged back in the seat more than a few times. I think due to a surprisingly well matched torque/hp balance. The car doesnt weigh much, and even with an auto tranny which makes mine heavier, this car still pulls hard, corners well, and drives wonderfully. It all depends on how you drive. Its not a Mustang GT, but it IS a fast import.

no bro the RSX base with 160hp isnt fast. the RSX Type-S has 201hp and is a lot quicker than the base RSX. You can make the Type-S fast with your basic bolt-ons; cold air intake, headers, chip, and a cat-back exhaust and you'll be hallin' *** in the Type-S. There isn't much that can take my Type-S with all the bolt ons off the line, its hella quick.

If you're getting the base coupe, the horsepower I'd say would be 160hp which isnt fast (obviously), but If you got the Type-s RSX you'd have 210hp which is somewhat fast but you could make it fast.

If you want a fast car I'd look for a RWD drive car (Supra, Vette, Cobra, SS Camaro, etc). If you want a fun car to drive the RSX car is a good choice. They handle good and drive like a gocart. Good gas mileage, reliable, and resale too. Check insurance because rates can be high for some.

If you want more power, pick up a "RSX Type S" it has a 200+HP engine (depends on the year). It is light and corners well--not much body roll in corners. With a nice set of tires, you could have a great deal of fun with one of them.

Depends on what you consider fast. An RSX is pretty peppy, but sure as hell isn't fast. You won't be outrunning anything that runs faster than a high 14 so no, it's not 'fast'.

160 HP is pretty perky. Horsepower is not a real indicator of a car's ability to move out. The thing you really need to check out is "torque". Remember, the rule of car selling: "Horsepower sells cars, torque moves cars." Torque is what you need to be concerned about. Torque is an engine's ability to move things. Concerning how quick the car is, look at the speedometer. How high does it go? Are you interested in top speed or off-the-line speed. If off-the-line speed is what you are more interested in, torque is your most important asset.

i dont think that RSXs are fast, for the money. If you want something fast, and like acuras, get a GSR integra, or maybe even a full blown type-r...way faster, and in my opinion look better

The 160 HP k20 is actually quite slow with only a 5Speed tranny. I know because I own one...the best thing to do is to STEP up and just purchase the TYPE S...unless ur willing to dump 10K into the car and buy the TYPE R motor...much like myself ;) Good luck to ya
