If you ever walk in the bathroom at night, half asleep, and you don't look at the toilet, you just turn around and sit. Than whammo your butt goes in the water, I think its a pretty good reason to leave the seat down.

The truth is that females are afraid of bathrooms. They think they're going to get some disease every time they touch something. Therefore, they insist that WE touch the toilet seat with our fingers. Eh who cares????

The men in my family do it all the time. I don't care, I'm glad they at least lift it because I don't want to sit on any pissy seats. Pulling it down only takes a second.

It is a courtesy thing for your female partner. However, I never understood why someone, my lady included, goes to the bathroom and never turn the lights on.
