Give me some tips on how to shoot the ball corectly

Start with one hand and place the ball in your shooting hand. Make sure as much of the ball as possible is touching your hand (this affects control). There should only be a small space between the very center of your palm and the ball. Bend your knees slightly, not perpendicular to the ground but slightly. Use your legs to push up through the ball and finish with your index finger pointing downwards "into" the basket. Push with your legs because they are the source of the balls rotation (not your wrist). When you're done practicing that add your off hand. Your off hand is used as a "guide" for the ball to maintain that straight line to the basket.

First, if you are right handed, you shoot with the right hand, and guide the ball with your left. Reverse the instructions if you are left handed. Match your elbow to the direction of the basket. If you are shooting a three, same instructions, but use the power of your legs as well. you can try shooting close, and as you make shot after shot, move back farther and farther.

bend your knees...keep your elbow in...do not stick your elbow out...have the ball roll off your fingers with a backspin when it leaves your hand (with wrist movement), this gives it more of a chance to go in the basket, and follow through. always follow through.

first see which hand you lay-up and shoot with, then just feel or learn from there, its more of a personal experience, but once you get there you'll be BAAAAAAALLIN!!!
