I want answer in this context
"Should I do this?"
"You can do it."

In the easiest terms:

Can=To be able to do something
Should=To advise to do something

Therefore you can see that they are not interchangable.

"He can tie his shoelaces"- means that he is able to tie his shoelaces.

"He should tie his shoelaces"- means that it is recommended that he should tie them (in this case, because of safety).

can is used for certainty and is usually imperative. eg, i can wash the dishes. she can swim. i can climb the tree.

should is used as an option, a choice whether you do something or not. eg, i should buy groceries today (i may not). i should have a haircut later (i may not).

and using can instead of should? i need to know the context of the sentence before i can answer it... most of the time it can be interchangeable :)

can only means able to. and no they arent interchangeable.

can is something you have permission to do. should is a choice weather you should do it or u should not do it :)

think of it like this
can is like yes
and should is like maybe

"can" indicates the ability to do something.
"should" indicates that you aught to do something.
