what, aside from writing to my congressional representatives (which I've already done), can I do to help end the "war on terror"? I object incredibly strongly to the so-called spreading of democracy; I think if anything we've only put more terror in. Not only that, we're wasting countless lives, resources, and dollars, all of which could be used much better at home. Plus it's an unjust war based on lies.

Anyway, what can I do? It really doesn't seem like there's anything I can do but wait 'til '08, and that is much too little much too late.

Oh, and please stop treating me like a bleeding child! I mean not to sound snotty or holier-than-thou but I do believe you'd find me tremendously well-informed.

As a matter of fact I do NOT listen to CNN and the like; I get my news from NPR, the BBC and CBC, and from DW (a German newscast). Additionally, I think things over and do not mindlessly swallow so-called information.

So please, don't patronise me.

I've gotten a fantastic education and continue to learn more every day... while it would be foolish to say that I know everything, I daresay that I know more about politics than 95% of my peers or even 80% of my elders. I have done a great deal of research and individual thinking, and continue to do so daily.

I refuse to just sit back and be a kid, because there is too much important work to be done, and far too many adults who are doing just that.

I also won't fork over my vote to the Democrats, or to the Republicans or whomever wants it simply for their own gain. One might best describe me as a Socialist... I feel that a country is only as successful as it's most disadvantaged members.

I congratulate you on wanting to be actively involved in speaking out your rights. For the time being, you can try to start a "grass roots" movement of just people who are under 18 but will soon be able to vote, and make them into a political entity with the agenda to change the face of all politics once they are able to vote.

Start a "vote at 18" campaign. Get everyone to vote. The real voter attendance is horrible because people dont believe that their vote counts. But every vote DOES count.

Good luck to you, and I look forward to you being able to vote in the next election!

Kid, my advice is to start doing your own research. Stop listening to CNN and the other liberal sources. They've got an agenda and they'll push it on you. It works that way with the nightly news too. There's a whole side of the story they're not telling, and only by looking at BOTH sides will you find the truth.

I'm not just saying this either. I'm basing my words on yours. All you're saying here is propaganda that has been time and time again proven false, but the left wing sticks to it because they have an agenda of hatred for the president of the United States, not be cause they have better solutions.

Please... Before you take ANY action, make sure you've done enough research to know BOTH sides of an issue inside and out.

For now, I'll leave you with these wise words from Benjamin Franklin:

"Haste makes waste..."

I were given a postal vote, so have voted already. i imagine that in case you do not vote once you've the chance to, then you truthfully haven't any good to whinge, because you've performed not something to regulate the challenge. i have needed to vote considering i change into about 10 or 11. on the day that I voted for the first time i change into actually bouncing up and down (i'm not exaggerating); i change into so excited. Even today i'm getting extremely excited even as an election comes round. i appreciate exercising my rights.

Convert to Islam & start trying to convert your family & neighbors. This war will only end with Islam becoming the world wide religion & Islamic Law & culture becoming the world-wide law & culture. Or with the Islamic Fundamentalists being killed off

If you want to surrender go ahead. You have nohing to lose but your own beliefs. Oh and if your female you get to wear a burkha

As for the "spreading of democracy" your right that is a bunch of pablum. The "spreading of democracy'" has been a staple of the Democratic Party since Woodrow Wilson. Hence it is called the Wilsonian view on foreign policy. The Neo-cons (not a conservative bone in their collective spineless bodies) are nothing more than a rehash of early 1960 era Democratic policies.

The world is currently expierienceing a re-ignition of the 1500 year old war between the Judeo-Christian West & Islam. Islam is a religion that has been spread by the sword since its inception. The "war on terror" is a stupid politically correct term for this conflict.

You can continue to write to the elected representatives and support groups which feel as you do.

However, I suggest that you do more research to be fully informed and you might change your mind about some of your opinions.

Dude, just get an education. Believe me, you're not even old enough to know what you're talking about. You have a lot of learning to do. You need to chill, ride a bike, and have fun.

Keep track of current events from many different sources. Just because it is written on paper or you see it on television doesn't make it true. Question authority. Question your parents. Question your teachers. Question me. Question everything. Trust only God.
Pray, and when you can VOTE!!!!!
