Which color of water absorbs the most heat? 5 or 6 32 oz mason jars, one with clear water, some with lighter colored water (from food dye) and some darker colors. Place them all in the same area with the same amount of sun and place identical thermometers in each. Measure the temp in a couple hours, and after a whole day of sitting in the sun. The experiment will generally prove that (as most of us grown-ups know) the darker colors will absorb the most heat. Good luck!
