Want to make .2M NaOH
1%SDS
And 5ml of it.
How to do this?

Well the best way would be to put 0.4 mL of 5M NaOH in a 10.0 mL volumteric flask and add in 1 mL of 10% SDS, this would give you the concentrations you need.

for NaOH: 0.4 mL * 5M NaOH / 10 mL = 0.2M NaOH

for SDS: 1.0 mL * 10% SDS / 10 mL = 1 % SDS

and make the soution up to 10.0 mls using distilled water.

Volumes could be halfed to make 5 ml.
