It is because they do not know how to slow down

Some people have good reason to be in a hurry
such as having more than one job. Having too many things to do in one day due to promises made. Some however just like to be in hurry so they can relax later. Some just try to see how much they can get done in a day. Others just do it out of habit cause that's how they were raised. The time I'm in a hurry is in a crowded mall. I go into malls when they aren't crowded but if they get crowded I'm in a hurry to get out!

Most of the people I know who are in a hurry have children. Their lives revolve around the children, making them rush to keep up with it all. My coworkers are classic examples of this behavior. Just an observation.

Because they need to get somewere ON TIME and not be late. Maybe they woke up late... so they are in a hurry.

because of work
it takes up all your damn time. life's a b*tch.
these days it's considered lazy to "only" work 40 hours a week... people are working 50 hours and going to school and all sorts of crazy s*it. people don't even have time to sleep 8 hours a night, it's pathetic.

i think it's partially a result of the age we live in. technology has made everything available at a much faster pace and people have adjusted their lives accordingly. they've also become more impatient when they have to wait as a side effect of that change.
