One sweater is enough. Two pairs of shoes will do.

Otherwise you seem to be all set.

Don't forget a couple of baseball caps or hats for the sun.

Imodium in case you get an upset tummy.

ZaaZaa Gabor said.."When traveling take twice as much money and half as much clothes." This works for me.

Have a wonderful trip. Watch your wallet at the beach or sticking out of your back pants pocket. Put it in the front if you can.
Better safe than sorry.

The temperature there will be in the mid 80's during the day and the mid 70's late at night. The relative humidity will be in the mid 90% so 85 deg will feel like over 90 deg. and 75 deg. like 80 deg.

It will rain there from time to time (it's the tropic!) so an umbrella or a rain poncho is a must (perhaps the latter so your hands will be free and your umbrella won't get blown away on the beach! You can get one at any drugstore at home for a couple of bucks and it folds up nicely in a tiny pack )

As for clothes, don't pack anything but mostly shorts and t-shirts for day wear there . You'll need something like a golf shirt (or any shirt with a collar) and a pair of slacks to wear if you go to a nice restaurant in the evening, even if the restaurant is in your hotel. In the cafeteria and snack bars at your hotel, shorts and t-shirts are fine, even swimwear if you put on a t-shirt. Most hotels have washers and dryers on premise, free to guests or pretty cheap, so if you really need to, you can even do some laundry there.

You already have sunscreen on your list but bring enough of it. Sunglasses or sunshades for your prescription glasses as the case maybe are also needed. A waterproof bag to carry your passport, credit cards and money on your body (remember the tropical rain!), an insulated case for your water bottle to keep it cool (you'll need to carry some water on your walks and excursions...). A pair of rubber flip flop to wear around the pools and on the beach, your prescription medicines in their original pharnacy containers, a pair of binoculars. Some cell phones will work down in Mexico too so bring yours and its charger too.

Have fun!

Antacid, tums, etc....bring your own food, sanitation standards are not the same as here in the U.S. and bring an open mind....things are very different in Mexico than they are in the states....bring your negotiating skills too....they will take advantage of you if you let them and never give them their asking price for an item you must negotiate a price for souvenirs

BUG SPRAY!!! Trust me, Granted I went in the summertime, but the humidity and location make it very bug/mosquito prone. Also, an underwater disposable camera. they are only about $12 but it was so fun to take pictures of the fish at Shel-ha.... Have un!

Acidophilus capsules and Pepto Bismol...one to help prevent and the other to help stop "Montezuma's revenge" (aka diarrhea).
