I saw it this weekend. Very interesting.

My boyfriend brought up the point that the children of men are war, despair and loss of humanity.

What are your thoughts?

I thought the movie was absolutely beautiful and I had tears in my eyes when the soldiers just stopped shooting their guns, and that long shot of the girl, baby and Clive leaving the building was overwhelming. I agree with your boyfriend in some ways, and found the message of the movie to be social comment (of course!) on how easily and fleeting life is. We take for granted that life will continue on this planet and that happiness is just in living our lives day to day, but for the little things, the voices of children (hope) to disappear, would give us no reason to go on.

It *did* end quite abruptly. And anyway, The Human Project is supposed to be a very well kept secret... so of course they aren't going to show us the "Utopia" in this warring world. ;)

I enjoyed the movie. Very, very interesting yet quite disturbing. I'm all for the peace and love type of person... so it was very disheartening for me to see this all-over destruction and hatred. :(

The movie was so intense.
Not only was it brilliantly shot (ESPECIALLY because of the 8 minute steady-cam shot...AMAZING), but the detail that they put into the whole thing was awesome.
I thought it was eerie how realistic it was, and that realism made it scary because it made the whole movie seem very plausible.
I'm definitely going to see it again.

It was very weird I thought...I didn't really get the war part and it just ended abruptly.
