In this country alone the average is about 75,069. That takes in to consideration all the possible ways you can die, everything from people eating them, having them throw at them, sitting on them, having their eye pierced and having it go to the brain. What is very interesting is most of the deaths are self inflicted like people seeing how far they can be shoved up their nose or trying to clean their ears with them, slipping and puncturing the brain.
I really think there should be tighter restrictions on these pencils.

believe it or not, there are 25,000 deaths caused each year from colored pencils. yup, i did top secret research, & it's true, now this is what companies don't want you to hear, their colored pencils are savagly dangerouse! colored pencils have become one of the top reasons for deaths in america! stabbing kids in the eye until the pencil pokes into their brain, kids have been choking on the pencil shavings, and not too mention, running with colored pencils & carelessly stabbing their fellow preschoolers in the heart!! colored pencils must be stopped on the quest to end the human race! so my fellow people, lets boycott these dangerouse weapons that are being used in our children's learning enviorments! but crayonds, the safe way to color your world :]

it doesnt neccecarily mean murder. some people are just stupid, thats why they put a warning on the box
