Do what the third poster suggested. It's definitely difficult, but if you're talented and have resolve, go for it. They do usually publish casting calls, just go to one, audition and listen to what they have to say. If they don't take you, ask what you can improve on for the future, so you can work on getting better.

Anyone who tells you that you can't do it is wrong! You don't have to be younger, you don't have to have connections and you don't have to be rich- or live in Hollywood. I have a 16 year old friend who lives in Arizona. He plays a 13 year old on That's So Raven. Disney is always looking for kids of all ages. Even if you don't wind up on Disney Channel itself, Disney is more than just a T.V. channel and a theme park. It's a radio station, a movie production company, and a lot more.
Try to find some open auditions. If you've got talent, they want you! But there's a lot more to being an actor/actress than meets the eye. You need serious commitment. It's hard work. It's very time consuming. You may have to drop some activities to make time for it.
If you want the best chance of getting on Disney, get an agent. I'm NOT talking John Robert Powers- Been there, done that-and it doesn't take 1000 bucks to start going to auditions. Look at some other actors' agents and managers, look in phone books, Google, anywhere you can. Get one- it'll help. They'll also help you with headshots, resumes and other things that might better your chances.
But remember, if you make it big, that's your life. Being an actor is not as glamorous as it seems, and maybe 2% of the people trying to make it actually do. It is hard hard work; You(and your parents) need to be able to drop everything on a moment's notice and run to a studio for an audition.
Before spending all that time pursuing an acting career- be sure that's what you want it to be: a career; a lifestyle.
If and when you make that decision is the time to act.
And when you do, good luck! :)

Well of course you can be on the Disney Channel, just look at the latest hit or the second to the latest hit, High School Musical, many of the main characters are well above 13. You have a good chance of being on the Disney Channel. But you should not just expect to be on Disney instantly. You need to have talent, you need to have acting or singing talents. I have seen many outtakes of the actors and actresses of the Disney Channel, such as Miley Cyrus, Hilary Duff, Raven Symone, Vanessa Hudgens, Zac Efron, Corbin Bleu, and so on. They have great acting talents from what I saw during their auditions (And I know good acting talents when I see it). You don't need to be like a Superman in acting, you just need to be good enough to be considered, even though the casting crew considers you but at the end you dont make it, you'll have a higher chance the next time you audition.
What I say is that you should not let your hopes down, you should keep striving to be on the Disney Channel. I hope this has helped. If you need more help or have questions my email is wiredforlyfe@yahoo.com

I read a while back from a Jessica Simpson article that she tried out for casting calls for the Mickey Mouse Club in Orlando. She claims the competition was fierce (she had no experience at this point), with over half the contestants who had already been doing modeling, commercials and even Broadway.
Some of those kids are newbies and some are sent there on recommendation of their agents or booking agencies. You can do this without formal representation, but you'd better bring a lot to the table such as charisma; be a natural on the stage (no stage fright), ability to follow choreography, having a natural singing voice helps, and if you're born with good looks, that can help too. And who knows, you may just get a part by default simply because they're trying to fill roles to support a particular demographic audience.
But you must fly to Orlando, FL. That's where there hdqts. are located (I've been there and some of the things i mentioned was told to us by the tour guides). I believe they audition new talent once out the year, unless that's changed. But check out their website.
If you want a legitimate agent, do not go to the one with the crappy little office by the mall. Those places charge you just to get evaluated- that is illegal. They'll also force you to get your photo taken and get your pics onto CD's, charge you whatever they like and it's a scam. THey can only charge once they find you an actual gig (they get their cut if you get an actual paying job).
Check out the Screen Actors Guild website for this and other info. Good luck on your acting career!

Are you Julia Roberts niece? Are you Steven Tyler's daughter? Are you Billy Ray Cirus' daughter? Are you a bloodline to any celebrity? ... didn't think so.. keep dreaming. You should really consider doing something useful like reading a history book, or practicing the "FOIL" method for algebra, because when you go to college to get a real job... it will be so much easier for you.

you can probably be an extra, and try for those open auditions.
remeber a few years back where they followed real kids auditioning for a role on that's so raven, well the kid that was chosen was already an actor on other shows. Just go for it and good luck.
