Can you just dump it out in the street? Is there a certain time or date? Does your regular garbage man pick it up??

Most Counties have a tree pick up day that they will remove Christmas Trees on. If not, the Land Fill nearest you normally allow you to discard Trees without a fee as it is turned to mulch.

Sure you can throw it in the street that doesn't mean they will pick it up. There is a certain time and date they will pick it up. call your local garbage disposal center, they can tell you when or if you missed it. You might of missed it already since they normally do it right after the first. If you did you could cut it up and put it in your yard waste or garbage can. A big thing though, you have to make sure everything is off of it, including every little bit of tinsel. Good Luck

I have a fake tree. But my neighbors usually put theirs out after new years and it gets picked up a week later by a truck.
But i am in corpus christi texas so the schedule for the trucks might be different somewhere else. If you put it outside and nobody picks it up, i can suggest taking it to a dump or putting it in a large apartment dumpster

Most people cut them u into smaller lengths and leave them for the garbage people to take out. Some areas have Christmas tree recyclers who will come around; and some people compost them!

Check with your nearest zoo. Ours recycles Christmas Trees into the chips used in their walking paths. We take ours there every year.

Put it at the curb. Most areas will pick them up, and use them for mulch for parks and such.
