I know people have issues with Disney at times, but in this case, I too hope they fight this to the bitter end. You can see in the video that the kid is smirking and pulling at something behind Tigger - whether it's his mask or back zipper or whatever. Bottom line is that it was provoked - it also doesn't look to me like Tigger hit him at all, more like he went to grab him before they both lost their balance. And lastly, if the punch was so hard, enough to cause neck pain, then why didn't his glasses fall off? Someone did a great analysis of the tape on youtube

This is hilarious, if the court allows any money to come out of this, then that will be a riot. When the kid was on the side of tigger I saw somme hand movement on his part, and I doubt the punch was so painful that the kid needed to be taken to the hospital for neck problems. Iv'e seen people get punched a lot harder than that, and just shrug it off. That family just wants their 15 minutes of fame, and thats all it is going to be. Even if Tigger did hit the kid, there had to be some antaganizing going on, even if it was prior to the incident, those tiggger can hold a grudge. How dare that family try to sue disner over something as stupid as that.

I watched the video and I may be a lone dissenter. Looks to me like a family wanting to cash in on what appears to be an accident or joking around. It looks like the Tigger just lost his balance. Maybe he went to pat him on the shoulder or something but I'm sure that those costumes don't make you that coordinated.
In fact, the first time I watched it, I didn't even see anything. It wasn't what I expected at all. This was no "slap" or "punch".
Ever the skeptic, I think the family is playing it up into something it's not.
But I wasn't there and I'd love to see how it plays out as well.

To me, it looks like the entire incident was planned out by the family of the teenage boy. I've watched this many times and it looks like the boy is pulling on the back of the Tigger costume causing the Tigger character to lose balance. Naturally, if you feel like you're going to fall wouldn't you attempt to prevent it? I think that the Tigger was just trying to prevent an even bigger lawsuit. If he and the teenage boy were to fall, I'm sure that the parents would have claimed that Tigger pulled the boy to the ground.

This is so stupid.. I really didn't think this happened like they say it did... if I saw his head on the video when the 'smack' happened. And what about the reactions of the teen, tigger, and the family after the 'smack'? We don't see it. And going to the hospital for a neck pain? Oh my. If he was hit, there would be a bruise or something. He said the pain was gone because of the medicine, I don't believe the family. This was an accident, I'm on Tiggers side.

I'm on Tiggers' side. I wore a mascot type costume to a Halloween party and some jerk thought they were being funny by thumping me on the back of the head. You cannot see too well in these costumes. The teenager was probably up to something. I believe Tigger is innocent.

I really think this is a sad case. Family just looking to line there pockets. And who will end up paying for this mess. everyone who buys a ticket in the long run. tigger has been suspended from his job even before the police has finished there investagtion. What happened to inoccent till proven guilty. Tigger said the kid had grabbed the back of his suit and pulled so it was hard for him to breath. You can see the kid put his hand back there. He's looks like he was up to something. The parents said it took them 5 years to save for there trip, now they want someone else to pay. I would like to see the rest of that video.

My family and I go to Disneyland a few times a year...and there are a couple of characters who are "extroverted" and paw your face and get really into the character...Tigger is one of them, Stitch is another, and Goofy and Pluto.....the way Tigger pinned his arm leads me to believe that the kid did something to provoke him...but I don't think it's that serious...we always have a better time with the above mentioned characters because they're so much fun and interact more with people.

What a bunch of crap. I saw the video, and truly believe that the kid must have done something to provoke the reaction. Secondly, if the kid had to be taken to the hospital for that bump, he has some other issues to deal with. In my opinion, it is the case of another over-protective parent who doesn't want his kid to be reprimanded for acting like a fool. Or they are looking for money from some deep pockets. In any case, the whole thing is awful. I go to Disney with my kids often, and are going this Easter in fact, and have NEVER had any problem with any character. Even on days that are extremely hot and steamy, the characters and other employees have always acted with professionalism at all times. The customer care at Disney is second to none, and still was in this case as well. Disney owes this moron nothing.

That was graphic, I wasn't expecting to see a tiger attack a poor helpless child :'(
In all seriousness it's obviously a scam or the kid really had it coming. I myself have dressed up as a mascot for an amusement park and know that you'll come across those little pricks that think it's cool to mess around with the person in the suit. It happens everytime. I hope the guy in the suit doesn't lose his job (and he more than likely won't depending on the kid's motive) because of some stupid little prick and his *** for a father.
