I did. My Dad and I used to fight about everything. I just couldn't do anything right, in his eyes.Well, I got older and started to understand where he was coming from. About the last year that he was alive I think we really started to be good with each other. He died 3 1/2 yrs ago and he would have been 72 today. He was born the same day and year as Elvis and my Dad always bragged that he out-lived him...lol.

Yes, but it's not the typical father daughter bond. We connect because we can be the same creature and we share the same sense of humor.

Yes, very much so. When my mother kidnapped me and my sister and her boyfriend was beating us badly(we were 7, and 3) he spent thousands on a PI to find us and raised us without any support from my mom(my mother was a career woman, so it isn't like she was a homemaker before this!!) and sacrificed everything for us. He didn't date, go off, nothing till we left the house. He was/is an awesome daddy!!!

BTW, 100% true story. We were even on our local news.

The bond started when I became an adult. We weren't close when I was a child.

Yes, I'm a daddy's girl, and my dad taught me everything I needed to know about life, among other things. He's a cool cat ;)

Yes, a very close one. :)

It's funny because, when I was a kid I didn't. He worked all day and was home for an hour before it was my bed time. For about 8 years I called him "hey you."

Yes. I am by no means 'daddy's girl' (NEVER) but as an adult... he and I are the same people, just different genders. It is very odd, I see so much of myself in him... and that makes him very proud (me, not so much.. LOL).
