Are there any? Do you miss the types of movies they made in the 80's? Can the movies that are being made today compete with the classics like Breakfast Club, Pretty In Pink, Sixteen Candles etc....?

I don't think there are any. I miss those movies so much. and I watch them every chance I get. My friend and I still quote off of Sixteen Candles all of the time.

Sometimes people refer to Vince Vaughn, Will Ferrell, Owen Wilson, Luke Wilson, Ben Stiller, and all of those guys as the "Frat Pack," but that is the closest we have today...unfortunately :-(.
