We've been together for 10 years. Things haven't been good for the past three. He's just been spending less and less time with me. Last night he came over and wanted to sleep with me. It's happened before and I thought it meant things were going to get better but they didn't. Last night I thought he was just using me and today I thought that maybe he was just doing it because he felt sorry for me. I can't have any of that. So, we're breaking up but, he just left me a message saying that he was sorry about last night, he was just tired and not thinking especially well..and he asked me how I was. Last night he knew I wasn't happy. So, how should I act now? Since I hardly ever see him anyway, should I just act like everything's cool and just never see him again. He might not even notice for a while. Thanks.

You don't ACT any way at all. Instead you simply tell the man that you are breaking up with him and you get it over with. You don't need his drama and selfishness. Tell him what you have to say and get it over with.

You need to be serious. 10 years is a lot of time together. If the "try working it out" didn't help, be serious and tell the man your not happy. Don't just leave him hanging like that. he might come back. Don't act, don't play games
Also remember that it can be a problem on both sides not just his so u need to thin of what u could be doin wrong also... y i say this? There are two sides to every story

youve been togather for ten years, so you should be at a point where you can talk to him. ask him whats going on if he dosent wanna talk give him a few days and just keep trying to ask tell him you need to know whats wrong and why and explain to him how hes makeing you feel. if he never gives you an answer or just gives you one thats "lame" like hes trying to avoid the truth. then explain to him why you should break up. maby then he will see your sereous and break down and tell you whats up. if not then he not worth your time. but you dont know he might be going through some HARD times and maby its just hard for him to share it with you. there could be several reasons, dont just assume the worst, and give him a chance befor you end it. =-)

but you can always find someone else if you end it, dont worry and dont waste your time with him if it aint worth it.

You should not have to act any way. Simply break up with the guy and go about your business.

I think you should verbally end it so there's no misunderstanding and no more booty-calls.

After 10 years you deserve a clean break and a new life...good luck.

Tell him you're sick and tired of being used like a stress-reliever. You're a real person with real emotions and needs and he needs to respect that and right now you need your space.
