yeayea i know its a dumb question, but im 15 [still in high school] & it's really hard. i see heaps of people my age over the holidays working in shops and i wish i was one of them. am i just supposed to apply for a job, then cross my fingers and hope for the best? or is there secrets that'd help me out a whol lot?

What you need is a "lead" on a job. Ask your parents' friends. Go to your local small retail shops. Check out the supermarket bulletin board and see what other people are doing. Dog walking? Working as an "intern" for free is a good way to learn and be in a position for a good summer paying job. Local animal shelter? Good luck!

First you apply, then if they call u for an interview. They'll ask a couple of questions and then based on how you answered they give the job. You personality comes out when u answer these questions and u have to have the right qualifications (a diploma or 1st degree).
Holiday are a bit easier depending on where you want to work
