make sure you spell it write in your project. two Fs, one T.
graffiti artists come from all racial, social, and economic backgrounds. it encompasses all types of people and comes in many different forms. from illegal to legal. from tags to throw ups to full pieces and murals. writers are artists . . . and not very respected ones at that. truth is a lot of people won't call it art until it's painted on a canvas and in a museum (both of which have happened). regardless, graffiti has influenced a lot of people and been part of a lot of political movements (ie. the fall of the berlin wall and political campaigns as old as in pompeii), as well as other art forms (street art, stencil art, etc) and been a powerful advertising tool. graffiti is under appreciated. bottom line.

There is more to graffiti than gangs and `hooligans`. It is pure art when done properly. People who draw them most often show deep interest in the skateboarding and/or hip-hop culture. This is not always the case although. People who draw graffiti should not be placed in any stereotype. I’d rather see some good graffiti on a wall than seeing another Coca Cola advert. I personally think graffiti can lighten up places when they are done properly. There are many graffiti competitions where people can express themselves in places that where especially set up for the purpose.

Hi, my name is philip.
I just moved from europe and now I live in michigan...
I grew up with graffiti, heres the thing I started art when I was about 4 and by the age of 10 I started sketching and by the age of 12 I started graffiti.
Hell yeah, A "crew" is just like a group, like a film crew, camera crew, art crew ....
You have 3 types of graffiti artists:
1- Writers who really are in to grafftiti, who maybe do some illegal stuff but only on old buildings or mostly on authorized buildings, people who demand it... And nowadays I would call it spray can art, or fine photorealistic graffiti, where you will not see as much names on a wall... just graphics and ART
2- Vandals, members of gangs like MS13 ones who just mark their turf or graffiti artists who want their name to be out there and sometimes people who just have money to bail out.
3- "Flase" graffiti writers: Artists who are great in fine arts and try out graffiti but dont have the feeling and *thing* to be a graffiti artist.
All 3 are ART related they are not, NOT ART... its like a carpenter its ART not wood carver, or musician its artistic
IT IS DEFINITELY A GOOD THING ( besides vandalism )
But hey vandals can see it as art in their eyes, like I did a photorealistic mocking bird on a wall,... or when you want people to know things like how many people die from tobacco each year yo uhave Graffiti artists / vinylists who stick and spray Facts about tobacco.
Well I hope thats it !!!!
Im out!!!

it really depend on what type of graffitti it is if that obviously took 10-20 second then just some fool who got bored on a saturday night but if it something more somthing detailed and skillfull then it take more then some low life with a can to do it it takes an artist who has yet to tame his skill who has passion and drive and does see boundries as boundries but as walls that must crumble they paint whats in their souls whats in their minds and hert sometimes they paint murials and tributes can theese artists reall b considered low lifes? the kind of people that do it are simply the brave the chaotic the phisophers and hurt but hey thats just my opinion

I know that airbrush artists enjoy graffiti. You can talk to my brother. Check out www.myspace.com/jlsewell . He does local airbrushing in his county area. He has a ton of photos of graffiti in his bedroom and outside.
